Interior Concrete Block

When properly insulated with rigid foam insulation from Dow, masonry walls can offer many years of solid performance.

Best-Dressed Walls On the Block

Masonry walls add a touch of cool sophistication to a home, but the porous structure of concrete block also makes it vulnerable to the effects of vapor drive, dew point condensation and other sources of water intrusion. When properly insulated with rigid foam insulation from Dow, masonry walls can offer many years of solid performance.

In masonry construction, rigid foam insulation helps reduce all three forms of heat transmission (convection, radiation and conduction). The reflective air space formed in some furred systems adds R-value plus an open area for wiring if desired. And the products’ thin profile helps make the application of high-efficiency insulation both easy and economical.
