Easy to install and maintain, STYROFOAM™ Brand Ag Board resists moisture infiltration, withstands high-pressure cleaning and helps reduce the potential for moisture condensation in agricultural buildings. The closed-cell extruded polystyrene insulation helps reduce heat loss or gain and features shiplap edges to ensure a tight, secure fit. The durable Type IV insulation boards can be pressure-washed at 800 psi (3' distance).
On buildings not occupied by humans, STYROFOAM™ Brand Ag Board can be left exposed on the ceiling and walls without a thermal barrier.
Building Code Compliance
Complies with ASTM C578 Type IV. Meets IBC/IRC requirements for foam plastic insulation. See ICBO-ES ER 2257, BOCA-ES RR 21-02, ICC-ES NER 699. FM 4880 – see Factory Mutual Approval Guide. UL Classified, see Classification Certificate D369 (UBC 26-3). Complies with ASHRAE Standard 401.2 Guidelines for use of Thermal Insulation in an Agricultural Building.

(1) Not all product sizes are available in all regions. (2) R means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the insulating power. R-values are expressed in ft2• h•°F/Btu. R-value determined by ASTM C518. (3) Vertical compressive strength is measured at 10% deformation (5% for STYROFOAM™ Brand HIGHLOAD Insulation – 40, 60 and 100 products) or at yield, whichever occurs first. Since STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene Insulation products are visco-elastic materials, adequate design safety factors should be used to prevent long-term creep. For static loads, 3:1 is suggested. For dynamic loads, 5:1 is suggested. |
